Ice Cube Infusions

With Summer fast approaching and the temperature rising, keeping yourself cool and hydrated is becoming a top priority. Infused ice cubes make the perfect addition to your favourite cocktails, mocktails or even plain water, adding a subtle extra flavour to really enhance your choice of beverage (with the added bonus of being visually aesthetic too)! You can either freeze ice cubes then simply pop into your drink, or you can even blend or crush them to form a slushy texture. They're perfect for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, family get-togethers, or to make any gathering or simple occasion feel extra special. We've collated some of our top picks for the best fruits, herbs and flavours that you can try experimenting with to liven up your drinks.

Ice Cube Infusions

How to Make Infused Ice Cubes

Ice Cube Infusions are super simple to make, though we recommend slightly different steps depending on the intensity and flavour profile that you want your ice cubes to have.

FRUITS & VEGETABLES

  • Juice or puree your choice of fruit or veg, pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.
  • Chop or dice your produce, carefully place into an ice cube tray and then fill with water.

HERBS & SPICES

  • Chop and gently "bruise" (rub or press) the herb leaves. Bruising helps to break down the herb, releasing the essential oils that will give flavour.
  • Then place chopped herbs/spices into an ice cube tray, fill with water and freeze.

OTHER FLAVOURS

  • Add a drop of flavoured essence into an ice cube tray filled with water and freeze.
  • Use flavoured water or coconut water in place of plain water.
